JK Rowling, the author of Harry Potter fantasy series, has arrived in Kathmandu on Friday with her family in a private aircraft to participate in a program organized by the British School. Rowling visited Kathmandu upon the invitation of the British embassy in Kathmandu.
She attended a welcome program organized by the Kathmandu-based British School today, where she read out an except from her book. According to the school, Rowling interacted with the students and afterward addressed inquiries from the group of audience while attending the program.
She is also scheduled to attend a program at Hotel Haytt Regency. The United Kingdom is celebrating “G 200” or Gurkha 200 years to mark the 200 years of Gurkha service in the British army. She will probably attend the British Gurkhas Nepal Ball tomorrow.
