Japan congratulated the people of Nepal, saying that Nepal marked a new step towards a truly democratic country.
The press release issued by Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Fumio Kishida, stated that Japan has expected to see Nepal’s political stability being secured and to see the country’s democracy, peace-building and economic development progressing, under the new constitution.
The Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister said that the government of Japan would continue to work to further develop the Japan-Nepal relationship and to contribute to the stability and prosperity of the entire region.
The press release further stated that Japan, as a true friend of Nepal, would continuously assist Nepal as much as possible toward realization of a better reconstruction of Nepal.
