Netflix drama Pahuna is based on Nepali culture and tries to portray the struggle of its people during the Maoist revolution in the country. The entire picture is in the Nepali language. However, let me clarify that Netflix drama Pahuna is not a Nepali movie, it’s a film directed and Produced by Indian Natives and shoot in Sikkim. Technically, Pahuna is an Indian Sikkim’s movie which includes it’s dialogues in Nepali language. So, it’s a movie in the Nepali language based on the Himali Nepali Life lifestyle.
Moreover, it’s the only Nepali language drama officially premiered on Netflix. The exciting thing is that Phahuna is produced by the Indian actress and former Miss. World Priyanka Chopra. After working with Nepali actor Sunil Thapa in Mary Kom, Priyanka seems to have a great interest in Mountainous Country of Nepal. Meanwhile, the movie is directed by Pakhi Tyrewala who has directed dramas like Jhootha Hi Sahi, Kajal, Dance Of The Wind etc.

Pahuna was written by Paakhi Tyrewala and Biswas Timshina, whereas the lead role was played by Ishika Gurung, Anmol Limbu, Manju KC. The movies has beautifully portrayed the story of three Siblings and their odds to survive on their own.
