Manjushree Trail – Hike Around Kathmandu

Manjushree Hike trial is the most unheard trails around the Kathmandu valley. For most of the tourist, this trial is less known and even the domestic tourist has not been extensively introduced to this trial. However, in recent years Majushree Hiking trial has drawn some attention among the locals as well as tourists.

The hiking trails pf Manjushree is one of the exceptional trials where you can behold some of the picturesque views of Kathmandu and Makawanpur. This trails have cover every mainstream evergreen hill such as Deurali Bhanjyang, Ain Dadha, Hattiban etc.

History Behind Manjushree Hiking Trails

Manjushree Trail — so named as Manjushree rounded the valley of Kathmandu before cutting the gorge at Chobar — is about walking the valley of Kathmandu in a circuit where each segment has its own meaning.

You’ll stroll through the national park, greet sadhus, see panoramic mountain views, ascend the valley ‘s tallest hill and witness the friendliness of villagers that aren’t on the tourist radar yet. Part hikers are those who travel just one segment of the trail, and those who travel in one go around the entire route are hikers.

Routes of Manjushree Trials

If you start the hike from Kathamndu then probably it’s better to pinpoint Kalanki as a starting point. From Kalanki there is an awesome hike trial of Chandragiri hills which are an uphill hike. From Chandragiri there is a dense forest way that will lead you to the Chitlang Bhanjyang. However, after reaching Chitlang Bhanjyang you have to carry water because you have to move forward for Toplang where there is no any reliable source of water.

When you reach at Toplang, then there is a hiking route to Naubise which is a downhill walk. Meanwhile, you can also start your Manjushree hiking trial from Kalnki to Ain Dadha which is around the place called Dahachowk. After that, you have to walk through the lush of flora and fauna which will take you to the place widely known as Bhimdhunga. From there the trail will take you to the Tarkeswor which is a flat hilltop with astonishing scenic views.

Then you will reach to Kakregaun. Kakregaun is filled with Kafal trees and it has some astounding waterfall where you can rest for a while. After that you will reach to Suryachour and from Suryachour to Bagdwaar. After that there is a trial to Chisapani and from Chisapain you have to walk for a Jhule and from Jhule you will reach to Dhulikhel. In Dhulikhel, you can see beautiful village, Roshi Khola and Namobuddha as well.

After that, the trial begins to Gurdhum and from Ghurdhum to Kushadevi. From Kushadevi you have to walk to reach to Godavari where your Manjushree trials finally ends.
