After Sir Edmond Hilary and Tenzing Norgey Sherpa successfully climbed the Mt. Everest on 29 May 1953, Nepal became a renowned mountaineering destination worldwide. First Expedition Mount Gyachung Kang
On 10 April 1964 Y. Kato, K. Sakaizawa and Pasang Phutar, ascended the peak for the first time. Meanehile, Machida and K. Yasuhisa. , accompanied by K the next day. A Slovene expedition first ascended the north face in 1999, and Yasushi Yamanoi repeated it in 2002.
The expedition starts from Lukla after 30 minutes scenic flight from Kathmandu. Then we commence trek to Phakding by crossing small village chaurikharka and Ghat and we continue trek to Namche Bazzar. Furthermore, many mountaineer have tried to climb it where some got succeed and some have returned after severe injuries.
